New perennial bleeding heart came back huge, can I split it? It's gorgeous. Looks like a shrub!?

Yes, you can divide bleeding hearts.

Bleeding hearts are usually divided in the fall or early spring.

Since your plants are already blooming, wait until it finishes blooming to separate it.

In the north, most wait until early autumn to separate their bleeding hearts, but since your plant is in the wrong location, go ahead %26amp; transplant it after it finishes blooming. "In most regions of the northern hemisphere, September usually provides ideal weather conditions."
