What exactly is a bleeding heart liberal?

Please no bashing! I am aware of what a liberal is. I just want know how a bleeding heart liberal is different than a plain liberal. One is in the dictionary, the other is not. If you can, give me an example of how the two would differ on the same issue?

What exactly is a bleeding heart liberal?
A bleeding heart liberal is often confused with a radical extremist. Although, you could compare the two. A bleeding heart liberals lives by their views and beliefs and is verbally expressive about them. Also, they value every aspect of liberalism and present pride.


The difference between a liberal and a bleeding heart liberal is that usually a "bleeding heart" liberal is more expressive and lives life through their support of liberal values. A "regular" liberal values human rights, equality, and fairness. Yet, they tend not to be extreme with their beliefs. Although, they can be verbal about their beliefs, but they only associate their beliefs with reverent topics. I hope I made sense.

A bleeding heart liberal is someone who protests offshore drilling from the deck of a diesel-powered boat.





Meaning that the boat, powered by diesel fuel obtained through the efforts of offshore drilling, seem to serve the purpose of the liberal protestors when it helps them in support of THEIR position but not in support of others.

Reply:Short version is a far left . The liberals who go too far when it comes to animal rights or racism etc.. Example putting a noose in a yard is a racists act .. Nooses were used in the west on every race .
