Are all you Bleeding hearts happy now?

With Imus being fired, Al Sharpton is now the most powerful man in America. All he had to do was throw out the race card to bring CBS to their knees. How about an apology for that ****** for what he did to those kids at Duke.

Mark my words, nothing good will come from this.

On a positive note, at least whites won't be rioting in the streets for not getting their way, unlike blacks and the ROdney King verdict some years back.

Are all you Bleeding hearts happy now?
Couldn't have said it better myself. Sharpton and Jackson are true racists!
Reply:Al Sharpton is now the most powerful man in America??? Are you on crack?
Reply:The media is most powerful. Had they decided not to cover the story no one would even care about it.
Reply:MSNBC and CBS fired Don Imus and it had nothing to do with Al Sharpton. His ratings were inevitably going to go down due to his derogatory statements about the Rutgers Women's Basketball team and his sponsors didn't want to be associated with him any longer. MSNBC and CBS have one main goal and that is to make money, without the money from sponsors of Don Imus' show there was no reason to keep him on the air.
Reply:Where you getting your meth these days?
Reply:Hey, come back to earth. This isn't about bleeding hearts at all, it's about racism and the Reverends did everything they could to make sure everyone knew that was the issue. Don't tell the President about Reverend Sharpton, he doesn't like people challenging his power. Well, the racists won, Imus was fired.
Reply:I'm no bleeding heart--But I am HAPPY that asshole is gone. 'm not pleased with the manner it has happened though.
Reply:Probably. Your right, this is going to impower them to do worse things. you'll see.
Reply:I do think what Imus said was shameful, but I am worried about how quickly the race card was thrown out and worked. Makes me wonder what will happen if Obama is elected since he seems to promote and support the Black race.
Reply:I think a lot of WORKING blacks just want to raise their family and live decent, but Sharpton is only interested in making a name for himself he doesn't care who riots, who gets shot--who suffers--who hates--he runs around like a ******* maggot in rotten wood-no, he is not the most powerful name in the U.S. intelligent people see him for what he is and he and his side-kick Jesse Jackson--a true civil rights leader fights for every one's rights, not just blacks rights, HE has made black people look like handicapped morons, HE has done everyone an injustice. THIS IS WHY RUSH PRODUCES HIS OWN SHOW, SMART MAN.
Reply:Hate to say this but your right,THEY have won another one.
Reply:Keep your slant to yourself.

Not all left thinking people wanted him fired.

Its a huge overreaction by white and black.

He made a mistake, he doesn't have an agenda.

Rodney=Imus; I don't think so.
Reply:so much for the democrats claim that they support freedom of speech.

Another DNC lie uncovered.

And Al Sharpton calling anyone a racist is the most laughable thing I have ever heard. Its like Jimmy Carter calling someone a coward.

Pot meet kettle.
Reply:No. Neocons will just burn crosses and lynch people versus rioting...
Reply:While I agree that Sharpton exploits the dumb comments of crotchety white people...I think it's a far stretch to claim he has THAT much power.

He's a blowhard. People recognize that.
Reply:I'd be rioting in the streets right now, but I have a job
Reply:Imus played the race card spin boy. Got fired too.....lol
Reply:In Singapore there are few blacks. Most have a bad rep.

Its nice we don't have the same stupid issues the US deals with.

The whole stupid race card thing is like a social anchor you people must get past.
Reply:As far as I'm concerned, Imus was foolish. After he apologized for what he said in trying to be funny, he should have just shut up about it. He should have ignored Sharpton and his ilk. Now he's just a groveling unemployed has_been dj. Once he went on Sharpie's radio program, it was all over. Then he met with the BB team....puleeze. Hope the scrapes on his knees heal.

Now the BB team is going on the Oprah show. Those poor girls were so hurt (hope it didn't affect their free college education). I wonder if the Oprah is going to have the 3 Duke LaCrosse players on her show also. She could invite J.Jackson and Sharpton on also to apologize for the crapola they spewed on this case.
Reply:Amen brother. Its sad, racism only works if yout black.

And yah we arent out making abig deal about it, maybe thats the problem. Maybe we SHOULD be rioting in the street.
Reply:Now Don Imus is your martyr? I'll bet you didn't even listen to him. He bashed Bush daily.
Reply:I thought Diddy was the most powerful man in America. He makes a living using slurs all the time and makes millions and has millions of fans. That is an example of power. I would like for the Rutgers team of ladies to turn in all of the music they own so the public can have a true accounting of how offended they were by this crusty, old codger that mumbles around for 3 or 4 hours a day. I would like to see if their music contains words like, hos, and b****es, and other words like the n word. I don't like righteous indignation any more than I like the terms Imus used. I think we can thank the hip hop culture for making those words prominent in US culture. And that scrawny, old, empty headed parrot, Don Imus, took the fall for CBS and MSNBC!
Reply:Can't we all just get along?
Reply:Amen to that!!!!!
Reply:" Al Sharpton is now the most powerful man in America" - WHAT CRAP. He's a nobody with a mouth. Imus was fired for calling college women prostitutes on the air. Period. My company would do the same. Most companies would do the same.
Reply:Your naivete is hilarious!
Reply:Yes, you are correct, Kansas Boy.

Whites won't burn the country down.

(Well...... Liberals might burn it down, if we defeat the Terrorists.)
Reply:What does this have to do with bleeding hearts?

I have a bleeding heart and am compassionate, this is why I think people should have freedom of speech and be forgiven for misspeaking.

FYI: If whites DID riot in the streets, we'd be afraid they would use that as an opportunity to kill us! yikes...
Reply:Why in the world should anyone care if some dumb ashe radio announcer got fired because he talks without engaging his brain first?
Reply:Al Sharpton did not get him fired. Imus' CONTINUING COMMENTS, his minority staff who, if YOU CHOSE TO LOOK INTO THE ENTIRE STORY, went to the CEO time and time again about Imus' racial comments in the past, and the fact that SPONSORS pulled their ads from his show got him fired.

The SPONSORS were the most important. IF THE SPONSORS STAYED WITH IMUS, DO YOU THINK HE WOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED?

Think before you write a question next time...
