Is the U.K. pandering to the politically correct and bleeding hearts brigade.?

I"ve heard that in the U.K. in some places (ie. some government establishments) you can"t ask for a black coffee

is this true?

Is the U.K. pandering to the politically correct and bleeding hearts brigade.?
if your a white person of british background living in the uk at the moment you are a racist simple as that, this is what the country is saying the pc brigade are sorry have ruined our country its ok for jermaine jackson to call white people trailer trash and honky but jade goody called shilpa shilpa poppadom, the whole country is enraged,

its ok for an asian shop in manchester to put a sign in the window saying no whites yet when a pub landlord refused an asian service he was found guilty of provoking racism.

this my friend is the united kingdom love it, fight for it but dont ask for simple rights or your a racist plain and simple.
Reply:No, its not true.

The accusation of "political correctness" is an example of bigots setting themselves up as victims in order to gain acceptance and reinforce their own prejudicial views.
Reply:The problem is that the British establishment does'nt believe in Britishness anymore. We've lost an empire and our religious foundations. Our leaders don't know our place in the world anymore or why our moral fabric is disintergrating, so the pc bigrade and the multiculturalists have moved in. Because we don't believe in our ways like we used to we are taught that we were wrong, the empire was all bad, religion was all wrong and our civilization was just an oppresive racist juggernaught waiting to break down. Its time that some of leaders woke up and stopped all of this nonesence. PC is against everything that our liberal society stands up for and IM OFFENDED when pc people tell me what to call a black coffee or a white board.
Reply:Yes, the U.K. is and so is everywhere else!

When did white people start feeling so ashamed of their race that they go around apologising (unnecessarily) for it all the time? When did we become so desperate not to offend?

Other races must be laughing at how we bow, say sorry and generally kow-tow to their every wish before they even ask for it! You wouldn't catch them doing that!

(Of course anyone who stands up for white people is labelled a White Supremacist and a bigot. I'm neither. Nobody would accuse a black person of being bigoted for standing up for their race. Again, why can't we say anything positive about our own race???)
Reply:You have heard wrong. There are a lot of bad rumours abound by the people who want to present good progress as bad and bad as good. Like it is OK to instruct children in the ways and beauty of homosexuality but family values are not presented properly.

Most government places as with councils etc, do not have a canteen. You make your own coffee in the kitchen or you get it from that machine - where it is clearly written - BLACK COFFEE 21

WHITE COFFEE 22: WHITE WITH SUGAR 23 etc. So there!
Reply:Politics are exaggerated they tend to blow things out of proportion. Screw politics i have had enough of it it, all lies and half truths
Reply:No, it is not true. Stick to your kitchen smells, cookie.
Reply:VOTE THEM OUT, it`s up to you.
Reply:That wouldn't suprise me..!

Just indulge me,

It's the word BLACK,

can't sing baa baa black sheep

can't use a blackboard in school

We can't use the word black "in case" we offend anyone of dark skin origin. sorry ********...!

I think many of our asian, african, afro carribean friends would think that because of government guidelines like this, it's stirring racial hatred among narrow minded sections of our society, when infact words like blackboard, black sheep, black coffee cause no offence whatsoever.
Reply:the pc brigade have took over this country.there is now negative discrimination necause of it.thye are pampering to a small minority of leaders in certain communities within the countrybut these same communities themselves think that it as gone too far
Reply:i love me mummy innit
Reply:yes and it is pi**ing me off ..you cannot breath in the UK you may offend someone... stupid pr**ks..lets go back to the 40s and get this sorted
Reply:No - this is an urban myth, along with bans on Christmas, hot cross bun bans in schools and bans on "baa baa black sheep" being sung.

These stories tend to surface in the Mail and Express, and sometimes even make it to the Telegraph. So - no conspiracy there, then :)
Reply:Yes, and horse power is also taboo, it is now person power.

The only method of dealing with the PC brigade is to meet them head on and oppose their new phrases such as level playing field instead of equal status.

There are too many to mention here so watch out for them and give the idiots some stick.
Reply:Lordy. This is how snopes.com keeps in business. If anyone can find a reference to the above story they get a shiny 'thumbs up' from me - I've done a google and can't find nowt.

These stories that you read are often along the lines of:

1: Council looks to save money. Council sees Xmas lights as an ideal slash from the budget.

2: Councillor gets grief from local traders about no lights this year. Councillor tells traders it's due to not offending other faiths.

3: Traders go to certain blood pressure raising newspapers, newspapers run 'PC Brigade strikes again' story.

4: Council backs down, finds the money, everybody's happy.

That's the gist of the (admittedly dumb) story regarding the Winterval (I'm a Brum resident so I can vouch for the contents of this good old reliable Wikipedia article below.
Reply:Yep, I think some council outlawed images of piglet in its offices, for fear of offending Muslims. I mean, I don't get offended by people having 'white bread' or if Muslims celebrate Eid or whatever, I'd be a prat if I did. I've never met anyone who was offended by any of these things (although some are offended by the implication they should be offended).

If I ever do meet anyone who is offended by these things, I'll just ignore their opinion anyway, as wouldn't be an opinion worth talking note of, even if it did exist.

So basically, our councils are run by politically correct twats who no-one likes or agrees with apart from Trevor Phillips and the Labour party.
Reply:I'd rather be right then Politically Correct.
Reply:Sweetheart you have no idea how bad it is.

Baa baa black sheep banned

White Christmas- banned

Christmas decorations- banned

The list goes on. It would be a fantastic comedy if it weren't so tragic.

Yes- it is pandering and by the Left.

Throw out all the bed-wetters and hand-wringing bourgeoisie and let the UK be run properly!
Reply:The whole issue of 'politically correct' has been hijacked by the thick right wing morons.

Political correctness was originally a term that took traditional politeness and included minority people in that consideration.

As is unfortunately typical of britain now, the moron element have seized upon that idea and used it to vent their poison in a way that the more dense people in society will agree with.

Frankensteins Peasant Syndrome describes how the ignorant peasants are easily frightened into thinking that they are powerless and must attack anyone who their rulers tell them is a threat. Seem familiar???

The bleeding hearts brigade is a term used by peasants to demonstrate their inability to face the liberal argument.

How about you say something that isn't a cliche?????????
Reply:Lol - yes - and we can't have a blackboard in schools or sing baa baa black sheep. Christmas was renamed "winterval" in one city for fear of offending non-christians.... the list goes on!
Reply:Not many CO'S would be in a position to get asked that, stop teasing, someone knows your scratching for something direct. The U.K.? Troublesome, but debated; yahh, that parleyyy brawls still cracking up over a govermental masquerade. I have to issue them some trust in, THE GAME) for that.
Reply:Nice urban myth. Get a life and get informed.
Reply:Sorry but this has now become a way of life in what was once a great nation. The wooly-stocking brigade have taken over! Actually they are well paid to do so and this is all funded out of our pockets. We tolerated it when we vote - if we vote - if we don't then we cannot complain !
