To all you bleeding hearts/Saddam's death?

Was Saddam's hanging too graphic, too macabre? Did Saddam deserve a peaceful, serene death?

I for one think it did the world good to see a brutal dictator put to death in the very same fashion he killed others for less cause.

So, those of you with delicate senses, what's your input? Was he deserving?

To all you bleeding hearts/Saddam's death?
I still think hung him on New Year Eve wasn't cool...
Reply:lol that hanging was not graphic or macabre. I thought in was tame.

Unless he hurt you or your family personally really why do you care? If you are into sick **** watch some gore movies.
Reply:he deserved what he got how could you even doubt that?
Reply:It's amazing how little things change. It was Mussolini at the end of WWII. People still need to cherish the death of the wrong guy.
Reply:HE IS FRICKIN DEAD!!!!!! U SHOULD REJOYCE!!!!!! DING DONG THE WICKED DICTATOR IS FRICKEN DEAD!!!!!!
Reply:Why don't you wait for Bush and his cronies to be convicted and sentenced first--no data for comparison.
Reply:Saddam deserved to die because he killed people (1 person is worthy of death). And those that killed him are not guilty of murder and those that will not kill evil doers are unjust.

Nevertheless, I am convinced that he is burning in hell now and will be forevermore. This is sad because he was one of the people that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save him from his sins and he rejected that salvation (as far as I know).

As for all of you who are happy that he is dead and glad to see him fall take heed, lest you be consumed in a like manner for all men are unjust and will burn if they repent not of their sins and receive Jesus Christ as their saviors. God Bless.
Reply:Since when did we get to decide who is or isn't a brutal dictator. Certainly, the US had no problem supporting Saddam when we were at odds with Iran. How quickly did this all change, when we no longer found him useful.

The death penalty is never a good option, it only riles up the dead man's supporters, and casts his killers as life long enemies of a martyr.
Reply:For his crimes, he paid his debt.

But it was the worst idea for the people at the execution to verbally attack him, not because he 'deserved the right to die peacefully,' but because it inflames further sectarian violence in the area.

His followers are marching and calling him a martyr. They are protesting what he had to go through, and are blaming the Shiite led government and probably gearing up for even MORE sectarian led killing.

And to also execute him during the Sunni holiday, which is against the law in Iraq, and saying that the REAL holiday (the Shiite one) began the next day only worsens the situation, underscores the bad situation that is developing.

Saudi Arabia has said that they will support the Sunnis (some say they already are) if they feel that they are being threatened. Iran will support the Shiites if SA supports the Sunnis. The sectarian trouble must be fixed before these countries attempt to place military forces in Iraq.

I only wish I knew what to recommend.
Reply:Now I don't have delicate senses, but did it seem to anyone else that he was hung in some creepy old abandoned building? I mean, it looked like a snuff film! I don't think it was very graphic at all, considering that he went down out of the camera's sight and you couldn't see his neck break.
Reply:He was charged with crimes. He was duly tried for those crimes. Further he was convicted of those crimes. After all this, he was sentenced to death by a specific means and within a specific time frame. He, or someone on his behalf, appealed and was denied.

Whether he deserved it or not, he got what he was asking for so to speak.
Reply:Yes Saddam as any other ruthless dictator deserves punishment , but I believe it was a bad decision to kill him , not because he doesnt deserve it , but because two reasons , one he becomes a martyr to too many a Muslim , and second with death we have literally given him freedom , look at it , sure he's dead , but does he suffer any thing any more??? , does he repent for all he has done ??? , If he would have stayed in jail for the next 30 years till he dies from natural causes , for one he is destine to die sooner or later and second wouldn't he had suffer more the encarseration than the freedom of death ?? , His death only is a quick fix to us all ,soon we'll forget him , but not for the position of martir to his folowers , and now we just stirred up some what more of the extremists , way to go !!!!
Reply:My only complaint was that it was too quick!

a killer should die by his own method (eye for an eye) this man kill thousands and butchered thousands more why do these people morn him?

And before the sheep start saying "well Bush...."

Hussein actually ordered Innocent people killed because they were the wrong religion or wrong tribe or what ever reason he felt.

No American president has done that!
Reply:i'm with you...he sure didn't afford the same quick death to those he maimed, tortured, raped and murdered. to those who think its 'awful' that his hanging is being spread across the internet...think back to all those beheadings of innocent civilians including americans that were being played repeatedly for the entertainment of the masses....yeah, saddam deserved hanging and more...the sad part is he died too quickly and didn't suffer near enough.
Reply:he is a piece of c r a p
Reply:Hey, as long as he's dead right, though I find a hanging is a bit um, brute like, I would prefer he be put in the electric chair, but hey, what's the point he's dead.
Reply:I think it is great to have a bad man off the streets but this time I think we should spend some time on someone that had something to do with 911
Reply:no one deserves to die like that, no matter who it is...no human should be killed....I know he's an evil bastard...but he's human , and has family that care about him...they should've just put him in prison for the rest of his life....but he's dead and buried already
Reply:good question that Libs need to address! they cannot have their cake and eat it too.
Reply:i think he definitely deserved being hanged. but what bothers me is the fact that several people want to watch a video of it... that's just sick.
Reply:They should have tortured him for months first. Then hang him slowly.....easing up on the rope an inch at a time about 15 minutes appart.....let him dangle on his tip toes and hop around to try and stay alive.
Reply:It is interesting how people who do not condone murder condone it for murderers. ?? Did he deserve it? Is it really up to "man" to decide. I think he was psychotic and probably needed jail (for life or course) and "professional help."
Reply:I guess i mean whenever i see the video i just say to myself that this guy killed so many people and kids in worst ways then he was killed.
Reply:He deserved to be shot like he asked.

A man in the room told Saddam "God damn you."

And Saddam replied, "And He will also damn you."

Did he deserve to die? I don't think it was for us to decide. What gives anyone that right?

I would much rather see Osama bin Laden swinging.

Saddam was just an unnecessary detour.
Reply:But shouldn't George Bush be hanged too? Think about this:

He invaded Iraq and killed over 1000 people for an oil supply and liberating Iraq.

Saddam killed over 100 people for his religion.

I'm not saying that Saddam isn't evil or doesn't deserve to be hanged... but what about Bush...what about every other president or king or queen or leader in the world?
