So You're A Christian Who Needs A Heart Transplant...?

You're a far right Christian who needs a heart transplant or you're going to die. You have accepted Jesus into this diseased heart. You make it to the top of the transplant list. They find a match! You're going to live! But...

This donor was either an atheist or a bleeding heart Liberal when he or she died. What happens?

Since Jesus was let into your heart, which is now in a garbage pail as it was defective and all, that means Jesus is no longer inside you, as you now have the heart of an atheist. Right?

If the soul comes from the heart, how can you accept Jesus back into your life? You know have a heart that never had a soul. Right?

Or is this letting him into your heart stuff just talk and it's your brain you let him into?

Yes, this is a serious question and I would appreciate serious answers.

So You're A Christian Who Needs A Heart Transplant...?
The soul does not "come from", either the physical or spiritual heart...The soul of man may be described as:mind, will and emotions...The spirit or "spiritual heart" is our innermost being,"the real you" or core, that is regenerated at the point of acceptance,of Jesus Christ

The physical heart is an organ that feeds the physical body.

The spiritual heart(spirit) feeds the soul.

I would be far more concerned about the lifestyle and dietary habits of the donor...
Reply:Like many things of the Bible, "accepting Jesus into your heart" is NOT to be taken literally! The Bible uses the word "heart" interchangeably with "soul," and I imagine it like an empty room, that is empty until you open the door for him. The Bible tends to be poetic in a lot of things, and it requires quite a bit of thinking time to understand everything (I usually understand most things in the shower!!). Taken literally, a heart transplant would definately screw you over. But Jesus is more a part of your soul, which your mind is a facet of. You certaintly can't transplant your soul!!
Reply:I've never heard that your soul comes from your heart. And, while "letting Jesus into your heart" is not a Biblical concept, per se - I'm sure those who use that theology mean into the part of you that loves and not the part of you that pumps blood.

It is like the physical heart, in that what is central to the part of you that loves and feels will circulate to all areas of your life.

Transplant or not, that sort of heart never leaves you. It is your essence.
Reply:Your soul is your mind, will, and emotions.

That is who you are.

It is a spiritual heart interchangeable with the soul and are one in the same.

We say heart because it is a symbol of love and emotions.

We are not talking about a physical heart, that decays at death.

We are talking about the soul that lives on after physical death.
Reply:This is not a serious question.

Faith and acceptance in Jesus is what saves you. That has nothing to do with the heart organ that is in your chest cavity.

Every one has a soul, it is given to you at conception and does not come from the heart.

Jesus lives in your heart is an expression that means you have accepted the teachings of Jesus and are willing to live your life for Him.
Reply:The heart has long been symbolic for the part of self that carries love and the innermost essence of who we are. The heart rules many decisions we make and because love is such an important part of following Christ it makes sense He would be seated at the center of our inner source of love.
Reply:ok this is the best answer i can give...when a person gets a heart transplant it doesnt change the person or thier religous beliefs and as far as i know people who get heart transplants are not allowed to meet or know anything about their donor so a person wouldnt know about their donors religous beliefs anyways, and accepting jesus into your heart is symbolic it means believing that jesus is the only way to heaven and we should try our best to be more like him in every aspect of our lives
Reply:The heart is an organ, it has nothing to do with who the person was, that would be their brain :) The only reason your heart hurts when you're sad, or flutters when you're happy, is because of the messages your brain sends out. Your soul is really in your mind.
Reply:Well, the "heart" that we accept God into is not the our literal beating heart. That heart will decay with our body.

Our spiritual "heart" (so called because it is the life and blood-giving "organ" of our existence) will live forever in God's glory.
Reply:We don't believe Jesus comes into our physical heart, so the fact that the physical heart was defective/in a garbage can wouldn't make a difference, and I wouldn't have a problem with accepting one from an atheist/liberal.
Reply:your soul is who you are and when we say we asked Jesus into our heart it is more like our soul.

and every one has a soul dear, even an atheist.

if you get a heart transplant, that does not change who you are,

you would still love the Lord no matter what.

From a "bleeding heart Liberal" Christian.....

Grow up, Jesus doesn't physically go in your heart.

UGH!
Reply:ur physical heart is just that. Physical. It has no connection to your spirit. If you truly have accepted christ, you would have nothing to worry about.
Reply:It's not in your physical heart but in you soul, or you might say mind or thinking process or whatever part of your body that recognizes forgiveness
Reply:A serious question...please. Well I heard an atheist can prove that an elephant can be suspended off a cliff by a pubic hair. Shouldn't I renounce G-d?
Reply:Your still the same person, your still the same soul...

Jesus is in YOU, spiritually, not physically.
Reply:Are you suggesting the possibility of a Christectomy?

.
Reply:in your heart is just a phrase meaning that now he loves u and cares about u even if u did get a transplant

u still believe in him dont u?
Reply:It's figurative- not your actual heart.
Reply:It's a figure of speech......................
Reply:Christians don't have hearts, so no worries there
Reply:Your heart is an organ. It has nothing to do with your soul.
Reply:I hope you're trying to be funneh.
Reply:I believe the latter. I'm no atheist, however MANY things don't make any sense.
Reply:Wow, you aren't serious are you? It's just a figure of speech.
Reply:*shaking head*

Are you having a blonde moment?

Kp
Reply:its a figure of speech

and if it wasn't id just accept Him again
Reply:its a figure of speech..

you let hhim into your soul not your organ heart...

thats just comon sense...
