Have Bleeding Hearts, Neon Tetras & Headlight Tetras. What's up with the spots?

They developed Ick a couple of days after we got them. I got the medicine and it cleared up. Now it looks like they've got it again twice as bad. A lot more spots than I've ever seen b4. Have Albino Sharks and RedTail Sharks in different tank(had to seperate them from the other fish) and they're doing great. I've added no new fish to the Tetra tank, but they seem to be dying off on a daily basis. What is this stuff they're covered with now? Is it Ick again? What to do?....

Go to Walmart and get some fungus clear fizzy tabs add some AQUARIUM SALT raise temp to 80 keep it there if fish get chilled they get sick just like people no joke.
Reply:I suggest upping your tank temperature a bit. In most cases ick will not be able to handle the tank temperature at 78 or higher. Be sure your tank heater is the right wattage. It should be about 5 watts per gallon of tank. If not, it will not be able to maintane a consistant temperature. Temp fluctuations are what cause ick.
Reply:Could still be Ick.I put a little sea salt in my aquarium. It keeps most diseases from occuring and clears up current ones real well.ONLY use the sea salt from the pet shop. They can tell you what the "dosage" should be.
Reply:The best ick medicine is "Aquari Sol". You have to use it the reccomended length for treating the disease. Ick is a parasite that is a free swiming parasite in it's larvae form. It attaches to the fish in white capsules on the fish's body while it reproduces. The capsules fall off to the bottom of your tank and more organisms hatch thus making more free swimming parasites. After the fish are free of the white dots, it is best to change your aquarium water and clean the tank thourouly. you can rinse the tank with a mild bleach solution, like one part bleach to ten parts water, wash the tank, gravel, decorations etc... And after that rinse the tank with fresh water like ten times! That should kill any ick left in the gravel. Use the Aquari sol medicine as a weekly preventative as instructed on the bottle.
