Rape or Murder - give them a second chance


Drugs - let them off so they can kill again


THE DEATH PENALTY SHOULD BE IN EVERY COUNTRY WORLD WIDE


people need to be responsible for there own actions but the do gooders are always there telling us about the persons rights while the victims suffer

Go Daffy! Nice to see a strong stance. To be honest I'm very divided on how I feel on the death penalty issue, so won't comment too much on that.





However the bleeding heart civil libertarians make me sick too - grrrrrr.

Reply:I notice that there is a great collection of them in Hollywood. You know the people that own both a Ferrari and a prius. The ones the will champion saving the children in China from working it a factory so that they can go back to working in a field all day. Its all about image and things that they just don't seem to understand. You know the ones that seem to think that we are worse then the terrorists.





I was a strong opponent of the death penalty until someone pointed out some simple facts. In the USA if they are really "rushing" to put someone to death it will take at least 15-20 years, and there is a backlog that means the average is more like 30-40 years. It cost more to put them to death then to keep them in prison till they die. They get to cut up people in little pieces and they are put to death by going to sleep (You know the same treatment as a loved pet)! So the only thing effective about the death penalty is that if you can finally carry it out, they won't be released because they wrote a book telling kids that you shouldn't do what they did (not saying that they are sorry for what they did mind you), and some Hollywood group will champion their release.

Reply:the death penalty should be used more often and the death penalty should be carried out in public, there should not be people or death row for years the punishment should be carried out quick.
Reply:First, drugs don't make people kill people. There are people who do drugs and don't harm no one but their self's. So where you got "Drugs- let them off so they can kill again" at don't make no sense. Unless you meant to put that with the "murder" one.


Second where I live we do have the death penalty. However I don't think it should be used for people who are in prison for drugs and other crimes. I also think everyone in prison is suffering and they are in prison paying for their crimes and some are in there paying for someone elses crime. Killing them is not making them suffer its just going to make their family suffer not the person who committed the crime.


People can also talk about "immigration" with out getting called a racist. It's when they start saying things like I hate these people based upon their race. That's when they get called a racist cause that is what a person is who judges people based upon their race instead of as individuals.


I am also not a "conservative" or "liberal" I don't get into all that. I also am not a fan of president Bush.


Lady I am not the one on here who needs a tissue, you got that backwards. Actually in some cases in the event of a death due to drugs the person who sold them can be charged with murder. However no one is making them buy the drugs they do it all on their own.


I have better things to do then waste my time with someone who is just on here to cry about things and is not looking for answers unless they agree with you. Get your self a few boxes of tissues.

What happens if one of your family dies from drugs? or are you the sort of person that says "not my family"..... Cop on will you!

Reply:Your logic is flawed. The death penalty is not a deterrent to rape or murder and this has been shown in studies. The people who commit these crimes are generally unconcerned with the consequences so death no longer scares them.





You also assume drug charges=murder charges. That's not the case and rarely is. Many drug charges are for marijuana and rarely ever involve violence. When violence is involved, the criminal enterprise often extends beyond simple drug charges to organized crimes and may include prostitution, gambling, or racketeering. Many drug offenders are non-violent or engaged in property crime. People don't get high and then go kill other people. Stop believing that old propaganda and look at facts.
