They were doing good, until it got cold again. They were frozen. Do I cut them back or what?
Thanks, so much.
Bleeding hearts?
This info is from a Horticulturists website. Lots of good info on there for you too.
Q: What can you do with a bleeding heart after a hard freeze? It looks like it has been cooked. (Stanley, N.D.)
A: Just let nature take its course. It is probably just surface damage. The plant may come back later this season or next. There is nothing you can do after the fact.
Reply:who what why ?
Reply:Obviously a plant? What is the name?
I'd just leave it to see - you could cut off the dead bits, but I would be careful in case there are new bits coming through.
The cold snap caught quite a few of my clematis and I'm just waiting to see if new bits will come through.
