Reply:How was the surgery performed? Some procedures go through the stomach to clear arteries, maybe that's why she now has internal bleeding. Hope she gets better! Best of Luck to you and her!

Reply:Your Aunt probably had an existing stomach ulcer that she didn't tell her doctor/surgeons about. Any form of surgery causes stress to the body and stress aggravates conditions like ulcers which prompted the bleeding. If your aunt is still in the hospital, have the doctors give her something to stop the ulcer from bleeding, or she may have to go back to the OR.

Reply:Dont panic! You werent clear as to where your aunt is. I it has been a short time after surgery and she is in the hospital then she will most likley be fine. It is not unusual for there to be some bleeding in stomach if it was irritated before surgery and stress can cause it, but with heart surgery they give blood thinners and sometimes this happens. I pray she does well.
