You have bought a bare root plant. Put the root in good potting soil in a pot but not to deep. Water well and when you see growth transplant it outside in a shady area.
I just bought some bleeding hearts in a bag from walmart and want to start them in pots,how do I feed them etc
Having not been to Wal-Mart for 3 years, I am not sure exactly what you mean by in a bag.
If you are growing plants in pots, just get high quality potting soil like miracle grow and plant your bleeding hearts according to the directions given. To keep the plant healthy use compost from time to time to amend the soil.
