Am I the only person that is sick of bleeding heart Peta like people?

I love my animals but they are not my children !!!! I really wish people would be responsible for there pets and get them fixed, but why should I feel guility when thousands of dogs get put to death. I am not adding to the problem. and I am not the solution I love meat of all kinds (except veal) and all I ask is it to be killed humanly.. if my children were starving to death hell yeah I would eat fido....So maybe all these dogs that are being killed in the shelters need to go and feed the hungery instead of the land fill? do you know what happens to a herd of deer when there numbers are to high they starve to death, what are your thoughts????

Am I the only person that is sick of bleeding heart Peta like people?
i do agree with you, and I feel almost the same way. almost. the thing i disagree with is the dogs being sent to feed the hungry. Now, there are starving people AND starving animals. and , like u said, when there are too high numbers of a breed, the weak or unfortunate end up dieing. Human kind has toyed with this theory, with money, different inventions, etc. but Humans are animals as well, Might I remind you. do NOT get me wrong. I care a lot about the hungry. I try to donate a good amount of money and i volunteer as soup kitchens, but i do not agree that unwanted animals should be sent to places like Africa to be killed and eaten while they can have the chance to have a new life. Animals have the right to live just like humans do. What would you say if I said the people dieing in Africa should be sent to feed all of the starving dogs?
Reply:PETA is an extremist group and fully intends being irritating and downright militant. It sells newspapers which in turn gives them free publicity for their cause.
Reply:PETA - People Evoking Terrorist Actiions

simply, they are terrorists, and should have their tax exempt status revoked
Reply:Yes, I agree with Bossoli until I read the details.

I mean, I'm very fed up with hearing about the PETA people blah blah blah, the way I see it is that this is the circle of life. Humans are carnivores by nature. We suffer from vitamin insufficiency when going on the wrong vegetarian diet for pete's sake.

However, I wouldn't impose my beliefs and opinions upon others the way they do. Some of them are so hard core that it's a bit frightening.

So yes, I agree to an extent, animals are animals and not people, but there are some that animals are all they've got and therefore care for them like people. Yes, it is frustrating to listen to them and hear about their mission sometimes when there are many other injustices going on in the world.

But the question then remains, if they don't take the position...then who will?

It may not be for you and it may not be for me, but what we feel and what we agree on, may not be for them either.
Reply:Most reasonable people are tired of them and their BS
Reply:Yep.

I actually found the details to be the most interesting part of the question.
Reply:The only thing I have to say is that I hope you don't have a dog or any pet.

I believe in PETA and what it stands for. I do believe in having your animal fixed unless you have plans to breed. And you should only do that if you are qualified and with certified dogs.

God bless you.
Reply:I hate PETA they hate pits which i have to of and they want them banned I say ban the people that are more worried about animals than kids

I dont promote animal cruelty in any way and would turn someone in in a heart but sometimes people seem to care for animals more than humans
Reply:My thoughts are that you are seriously weird and in denial.

What the hell do you care if people like animals more than you?

I'm not advocating blood throwing and burning labs or anything.

Seems that apathy, undereducation, and religious extremism are the world's greatest threat, not everyday people who don't like Backyard Breeders and factory farms.

Your details make it clear that you are not a person whose opinion should be seriously considered.

Bleeding heart and proud of it. I'd rather have a conscience and make the world a better place than to follow "ignorance is bliss".
Reply:As a mother of 4 myself I understand

My dogs are not and will never be my children

I would never save a dogs life over a humans life (unless the human was a murder ,rapist along those lines etc)

If my children were starving and it came down to it yes they would eat dogs if that was the only thing left

However I must say even though its not my fault shelters are filled with dogs I still try to help out (donating time and money) and hope the dogs all find good homes
Reply:I'm all for exploiting people and the environment and whatever else to get rich.

So i'm on your side.
Reply:actually, all those euthanized animals get fed to our pets!!!!

they are sold to petfood companies, and literally turned into kibble, complete with the drug cocktail given to kill the dog.

so, if you feed any dogfood from walmart ot the grocerystore, well.......

but yes, i am sick of people having "furbabies", they are dogs for crying out loud!
Reply:Those that are hungry become hungry because OUR society allows it. Why should it be any of our decsions what we do with dogs. Hell let them roam the streets they dont do anything wrong hu?? The poor roam the streets why would a dog be any different. Why even make a remark about eating your pet?
Reply:I agree with Bossoli as well. Your initial statement was good, but your details are less than human. Did it ever occur to you that by feeding unwanted dogs to starving countries that you would be creating a whole new reason to breed dogs? Dogs would become "cattle" and the cruelty perpetrated by the puppy mills now would be increased tenfold.

Your logic is very flawed and not well thought out, in addition to being rather cold and unfeeling.
Reply:First thing: you're right...children come first, without a doubt. As for the euthanized animals going to feed the hungry well.... ew, and the fact that they are pumped full of a euthanasia drug that could just as easily kill a human being might put a damper on that feed-the-hungry idea of yours.
Reply:Not a big fan of their approach. Act reasonable and I'll listen, act crazy and I'll tune out.
Reply:Well, I'm not nearly as....uncompassionate? as you are. But I agree that PETA is full of BS. They are too extreme and their actions totally mask any real message that they may be trying to get across. I do make the choice not to eat meat, however, as I do like and respect animals and feel that vegetarianism is the BEST option for ending world hunger.
Reply:PETA is just a semi organized group of nut jobs. that is it. they actually kill more animals themselves of the ones they "rescue" than they find homes for. it is just sick to see a group of hypocrites running the streets and getting special privileges. it is sick and it is wrong.
Reply:Um, I agreed with you until I read the details.
Reply:Sometimes you may think everyone supports PETA and other wacko groups. But in reality they a just a very few people making a lot of noise. It's time to shut them up.
Reply:yep...i'm tired of them too!!! I LOVE ANIMALS...but man !!! enough is enough...animals are animals...PEOPLE run this world...let's try looking out for one another and let the animals do what they do.

and i don't know what a dog or cat tastes like, they aren't my 1st choice, but if they were all that i had to eat, i'm not so sure that i wouldn't throw a little pooch on the bar-b.
