I failed to plant my bleeding heart bulbs last fall is it okay if i plant them now. In the middle of April.?

bleeding heard (Dicentra) does not grow from bulbs. Propagate from seed or by division (can also grow from stem cuttings). what ever you got it was not this plant as it do sent produce bulbs. We have always split ours for net starts but have had a few start from seed.

Did you keep the bulbs in a cool location until now? If not, the bulbs might not even be good any more. If they are still good it would be better to plant them now than to keep them in any kind of packaging any longer. Good Luck!
Reply:They are fine, this is a good time to plant, no problem
Reply:you can't kill'em plant now and you'll have bleeding hearts by summer and every spring after... be sure where you want it. cause you can't git rid of it
