In case of gunshot in the heart, and severe bleeding, what would be the result of HcT test? why?
low due to the bleeding.
Reply:Hct as in hematocrit?
It should be normal unless the person already had an anemic condition. However, if the person has been receiving transfusions and plasma expanders to compensate for lost blood, Hct should fall a little bit.
