Reply:wow, you seem really angry, and not sure the question needs shouting quite so harshly. I think if people take comfort from their religion, good for them, seems most religions don't expect life for their followers to be handed to them on a platter. Struggling to hold their belief in face of adversity is a bit of a theme I feel.


Not quite sure why it has to be up to the middle classes, liberal or not to prove God or Creator(s) exist, shouldn't it be up to the learned people to prove beyond doubt that he/she/it does?





Your problems seems to relate far more the white middle class people, especially those of a liberal persuasion, and there are some aspect of that others out here might agree with. I am certainly white, definitely middle class, not overly liberal and relatively conscious clear. I have never been able to make up my mind about God as a Church scenario, Creator, well maybe but science so far holds more sway.





Belief though, that is the freedom of the individual and I would always acknowledge it, I just wish some of those who have belief that is supposed to be about love %26amp; honour and family and the sharing of knowledge and respect for humanity, would actually practice it for ALL of humanity not just their bit. Never, ever understood war in the name of religion and I don't think I ever will. To believe that a god/God/ Allah insert god's name here....that any would preach and exhort their followers to commit murder in their name, to slaughter innocent children, to rape and dismember., to burn to bomb and to rejoice and call to their god/God...? No, never understand that one, that makes me ANGRY, that I'd want to shout about and say NO. That my friend, sways me further away from religion and right back to dinosaurs.
